Day 08

Day 08 With this piece I wanted to have sparse color. making is the point of interest in the abundance of black. Like with previous pieces this composition was first formed with 2d primitive shapes and geometric elements, then made to look more organic by adding 'connecting fills' with the pen tool on layer underneath the base composition. Also, the shading detail made the elements look more 'gloopy'. But what is different in this piece is playing around with the concept of reflections of the colored elements on the black masses. These were done with their respective fill colors but at 40-50% opacity on the top most layer of this piece.
